"Speedi Sleeves" to Repair Worn, Grooved Seal Surfaces
Over time, sealing surfaces will become grooved, making a good seal impossible.
The most economical and fastest method of shaft repair is to install the CR Speedi Sleeve.
Speedi Sleeve is a precision engineered piece of stainless steel. Its ultra-thin wall design
allows it to be used without changing the seal size, and its fnish is perfect for lip sealing
applications. Speedi Sleeve is built with a removable installation fange. The installation
tool included in every box allows the seal to be put on. This avoids the possibility of
distortion from heat or other installation methods.
Note:
A speedi sleeve tor the transmission main shaft is also available.
Please see the transmission section.

1 Rod Bearing Sets
Note:
356, 356A rod bearings are no longer available. The 356B, C, SC & 912 rod bearings have tabs on the
opposite side. In order to use the later bearings on an earlier car, a notch must be machined into the connecting rods.
The only other option is to replace the connecting rods (the later, stronger style is all that is available).
